Route

Seaton Burn Services → Alnwick (A1 short + parallel roads).
Alnwick → Bamburgh via coastal B-roads.
Bamburgh → Holy Island/Lindisfarne causeway (time around safe tide window).
Holy Island → Berwick-upon-Tweed (optional) then Coldstream via Tweed valley roads.
Coldstream → Kelso (optional) then towards Jedburgh.
Jedburgh → Carter Bar → Otterburn via A68.
Otterburn → return to Seaton Burn via A696/B-road links.

Planned Stops

Stop 1 (~45–55 mins): Alnwick – coffee and fuel.
Stop 2 (~40–50 mins later): Bamburgh/Seahouses – coastal break.
Stop 3 (~30–40 mins later): Holy Island – refreshments/explore (tide-dependent).
Stop 4 (~45–55 mins later): Berwick or Coldstream.
Stop 5 (~45–60 mins later): Jedburgh or Otterburn.

Notes

Remember: Holy Island crossing is tide-dependent—check safe crossing times.
