Route
Durham Services → A688 via Bishop Auckland towards Lanchester or Crook.
Head west via A691/B6302/B6296 to Lanchester.
Lanchester → A68 (short) → A689 through Tow Law to Wolsingham.
Continue A689 through Frosterley and Stanhope towards Eastgate and Daddry Shield (Weardale).
Turn onto B6277 towards Middleton-in-Teesdale (crossing into Teesdale).
Middleton-in-Teesdale → Barnard Castle via B6277/B6278 combo as preferred.
Return Barnard Castle → Staindrop → West Auckland → Bishop Auckland via A688.
Final leg Bishop Auckland → A688 back to A1(M) Durham Services.
Head west via A691/B6302/B6296 to Lanchester.
Lanchester → A68 (short) → A689 through Tow Law to Wolsingham.
Continue A689 through Frosterley and Stanhope towards Eastgate and Daddry Shield (Weardale).
Turn onto B6277 towards Middleton-in-Teesdale (crossing into Teesdale).
Middleton-in-Teesdale → Barnard Castle via B6277/B6278 combo as preferred.
Return Barnard Castle → Staindrop → West Auckland → Bishop Auckland via A688.
Final leg Bishop Auckland → A688 back to A1(M) Durham Services.
